Unconsciously, we try to fit in the expectations of our family, our friends, our community, or our society. We have been trained to push our truth aside in favor of cultural norms. Our truth goes against everything we have previously known as true. It’s unbearably uncomfortable to step into it in a world that doesn’t seem to welcome it. And so we often choose to remain in our comfort zone as long as we can. We all do it. |

Maybe you’ve claimed your path as a healer, or gone down a long journey of your own healing and awakening. But there’s something still not aligned, and you can’t quite name it.
Think about when you continue to go to healing events, ceremonies, & meditations and though you are nourished to be in the sacred, you can feel something in you that yearns to be expressed, shared, or channeled through you. Something only you can bring into the world.
Or when you continue to be stuck in your work, always working in the same way with the same people, not able to bring fully the passion and creativity you have for something else deep within that lights you up.
Or how you deny your desire for doing the BIG something you dream of, telling yourself, “Someday,” and not actually taking the steps to follow that dream. Or what about when you shut your true creative expression down, feeling afraid of what others might say? It once again gets pushed aside.
Each time you deny yourself your truth, in big or small ways, you lose a bit of your life force. You continue to live in the shadows, diminishing the fullness of your light. The fullness that is aching to come into the world.
When we do this, we stunt our own healing and evolution; we repress our medicine.
We tell the universe that what is true isn't important enough to us; that we'd prefer to keep ourselves quiet and go about things the same way. When we keep accepting and living the status quo of our lives, the universe doesn’t hear our prayers to step into the next initiation. Sure, the intelligence of the universe nudges us at times into the next step. And we all know she can send us lightning bolts to rock our world in order to wake us up. And yet, deep down we already know the deepest prayers in our hearts. Why not bring those out into the world, so that the universe can meet us and help us embody our medicine?
To receive our truth, we have to step into the unknown. It’s scary, as we leave our comfortable perch behind. We don’t know what to hold onto.
The truth comes and cuts through the bullshit. No more people pleasing, no more unhealthy codependency, no more lies that give our power away. It all has to go for us to step into our truth.
Embodying and living in truth is a courageous act of fierce love - for ourselves and for others - in that us living in our truths is medicine for everyone! It requires a deep belief in self, in our own worth, value, and power to shift our lives and trust that the universe always has our back.
