How to honor and respect Amazonian Indigenous traditions? The people, their ancestors, their wisdom, and the ecosystems of the Earth from which many plant medicines come. Many of us are working with indigenous traditional medicine - something that collectively we've brought our Western consumerist mindsets and values to. We've taken it and made it our own. (What has been happening in the plant medicine world as it propagates the West deserves a deeper examination and conversation.) How can we support the communities? Their livelihoods, their health, their lands that are deeply impacted. I know many are working in this area- some of you on the ground. Thank you. None of it is perfect, but we start where we can. Our energy of gratitude and our resources bring awareness to the reciprocity and repair that is needed... From the sales of the plant medicines, textiles and jewelry this year, I am returning as much as I can back to organizations that support the communities. Here's who I'm supporting. All have incredible missions.
