I don't like talking about plant medicines so much publicly. It makes me uncomfortable, and I find myself holding back often.
Plant medicines are "the sh@!" in the Western world right now and have been for awhile. The thing is that we Westerners bring our worldview with us into the medicine work.
Most of us live enmeshed in the Western worldview, whether we like it or not.
We have been raised and taught that consumerism is the key to success and happiness. That more is always better. And that we need to extract as much as we can - whether it be from the Earth, from someone else or from an experience. Otherwise we may go home missing out, or not having gained more than our neighbor.
There are many of us are really trying to shed these ways of living from our consciousness. But it's impossible to do so completely right now. As we still live chained to the old system until the new system is online.
So where does that leave us with plant medicines?
Working with plant medicines, many of our Western worldviews don't hold up in the end. We are trying to make these sacred medicine fit into what we know - commoditizing them, using them to get something for '"me," and dismissing the ancient traditions holding the wisdom of the medicines.
And we see now the medicalization and legalization of these medicines underfoot, bringing a whole suite of challenges in our worldview that we are going to have to face.
Why am I talking about all this?
Because the plants and our Earth have given me my LIFE. My life outside all the societal expectations, my life without all the stories. My life as pure, my life as living in joy, my life as connected to the fabric of existence. They have taught me how to heal, shown me the truth, and stripped away my illusions.
My work with the plants has been so precious, so intimate, and so vulnerable. I respect the work and the depth of their transformative power. I honor the experiences beyond this world that cannot be condensed into language, nor should be.
It's a fine line to learn how much to share while keeping in alignment with my own integrity.
But here I am - listening to the plants that are by my side, guiding me. They are pointing me back right into the mess we all want to move beyond. "Here's the work." They are guiding me to speak, to share, and to connect their wisdom. To ignore their guidance, would be to ignore a part of myself, my heart, and my soul.
And I trust them and this path of evolution more than anything.
The plants are moving through me, calling me to use my voice for them, for the Earth, for our lives. To connect people with the innate power and wisdom within everything and to learn to care for everything - themselves and the world around them.
And if you ask why this is the path I'm on...
Our Earth has been neglected, abused, and destroyed. She has been and continues to speak in her ways - through her rhythms, elements, climate change, ecosystem collapse, you name it. And many of us aren't paying attention. Or we feel at a loss of how to even begin to shift our collective reality.
The truth is the plants are rising in our collective consciousness for a reason. Their wisdom is moving through each of us, bringing to the surface all the sh@! that we need to see. All those worldviews that are ready to be dissolved, no longer serving the greater evolution underfoot.
It's a beautifully orchestrated transformation actually.
But only if we humans do our part too. We have to learn to walk the edge of consciousness- between our shadow and our light. We have to be courageous enough to sit in the fire and to face our shadows, our fears, our judgements, our criticisms, our egoistic desires. We have to alchemize the parts we really don't want to see and feel.
And choose something different.
The plants won't do that part for us. They can only point us in the right direction. And we have to show up and do the work.
(I also do not like posting pictures of my face so often. But social media algorithms and people prefer human faces..... So here I am doing the uncomfortable :)
You being here is purpose enough.
I remember a ceremony in the jungle, during a dieta with a tree called bechuja (also known as chullachuqui). This dieta was profound for me, as it was the first time I'd ever felt my own energy field by itself. As a highly sensitive person, I was used to feeling everything around me... all of the time.
In a room filled with other people, after ceremony, I was sitting in the middle and realized I was alone within myself. I didn't feel everyone around me. Just me. A huge relief and wave of pure joy washed over me.
Tears welled up with the realization of how much in everyday life I was trying to manage and care for others energetically, and emotionally, all of the time. There was not a moment, where I had space to simply be myself. Working with this magnificent tree, who is known for teaching protection and boundaries, I was able to let that burden go.
As I sat there, there was a whisper, "It is enough just to BE. Be YOU. You don't have to do anything else."
I took a breath. allowing my heart, my essence, my purest most precious being, to safely emerge from the depths. I knew, in that moment, that I needed to take care of this piece of me that had been hidden. Take care of it with all of my intention, to attune to and tend to what it needs. So that it is never extinguished or lost in the way that it had been ever again. And this was the gift of bechuja.
We each have an essence, which is like a precious diamond, a crystal, through which we are meant to shine into the world. And so many of us don't know what it feels like...until we do.
Once you get a taste of your deep heart and essence, aligning with it takes courage, and tending to. In our world, it's very easy for this to be obscured by our minds, our emotions, our conditioning, and our culture.
The beauty of plants (and trees) as teachers is that they can guide you to remember your essence in its purity. Show you that it's always been there, in all the challenges and the times it was seemingly be lost.
Reminding you that no matter what happens, you are here to be true to yourself.
And that is enough.
If you are called to working with plants as teachers, I'm opening a 1:1 Plant Spirit Calling mentorship this fall. I also have 1:1 sessions on special through September 5. Please reach out if the plants are calling you.
We all know plant medicines can be entirely life-changing.
Your world gets turned upside down. Everything seems to fall apart, or the reality you once knew dissolves into the illusion it always was.
Picking up the pieces, putting your life back together is a whole other journey. A journey of a life-time.
Most of us haven't been taught how to re-create our realities.
The beauty of plant medicines, is that they not only shatter our illusions, but they can teach us how to truly create our lives from the inside out.
The trouble is people will join in for ceremony, or a trip down to the Amazon, but lose touch with the plants and the process once they return home.
The experience and the plants start to fade, in part because our culture doesn't hold the plants as real, as alive, as part of the fabric of reality.
What if you could tap into the wisdom of the plants every single day?
What if you could connect with them to help guide you to re-build your life, one that is aligned with your heart and vision?
What if this work isn't just about you, but about you bringing the deep inner transformation of the plant medicines out into the world? In ways that shift our collective reality? In ways where we are living in harmony with each other and the earth?
This is our vision.
And you can...IF you continue listening. To frequencies of the plant medicines, in a world inundated with other voices of how to be.
The truth is, they will guide you to your unique essence, your unique purpose in ways that will blow your mind. But you have to follow them on the journey.
It takes commitment, courage, and deep trust of the unknown.
Want to follow the plants as they move through you and guide you?
I have 3 spots open for my 1:1 Plant Spirit Calling mentorship. We go deep into your body, your energy, and your spirit to connect with the plants. We call on your highest vision, your hidden wisdom, and your soul purpose here and now. We give you rituals and practices to deepen into relationship. So that you are living your life from the inside out.
If you are wanting to bring the plants HOME, reach out.
Anyone else going through life-changing transitions and transformations right now?
It's been a 𝙬𝙞𝙡𝙙 𝙧𝙞𝙙𝙚!
Feeling your way through, guided by your intuition and inner guidance system is what this is all about.
But sometimes, you feel like you are so close, you are almost there, but you can't quite see or feel it yet.
I work with the Tarot every day. Sometimes multiple times a day. Especially when life is unexpected, or I have major decisions to make. The Tarot calls forth my intuition and my inner knowing that is always there, just below the surface.
We have a powerful group of women right now in the Altars of Wisdom, all calling in the Priestess energy for guidance and liberation. In the Tarot, the High Priestess represents intuition, divine wisdom, the subconscious, and the ultimate expression of the divine feminine.
Her realm is the mysterious; navigating between worlds. She is the guardian of the veil of the seen and the unseen.
Her appearance in a Tarot reading shows us that profound unseen forces or shifts are indeed happening. She calls you to bring what's below the surface into awareness, understanding and ultimately embodiment.
She guides you to sit with your intuition, look within for the answers, and 𝙙𝙞𝙨𝙘𝙤𝙫𝙚𝙧 𝙮𝙤𝙪𝙧 𝙙𝙚𝙚𝙥𝙚𝙨𝙩 𝙠𝙣𝙤𝙬𝙞𝙣𝙜.
If you want to consult the Tarot for guidance, I have a special on readings through September 5. Book one HERE.
🐍 Power is such a loaded word. 🐍
We dislike or are jealous of people who have too much of it. Or we admire people who have a lot of it wondering how they did it. "They must have been born with it."
On the other hand, we disown our own power. We deny ourselves of it, succumbing instead to the power of others. Or we use it in distorted ways, manipulatively or as a power over others. But this isn't true power.
And most of this is all going on unconsciously.
The truth is, most of us have an unhealthy relationship to power - ours or that of others.
We aren't embodying our true power. We don't even know what that is.
We sacrifice ourselves, our voices, & our lives, in order to receive something we think we want (love, attention, acceptance, money, sex, or we settle for some distorted form of power).
We wait for permission from the outside. We follow the paths and approval of others instead of our own hearts. We wallow in the victim mentality, not owning up to take responsibility for our lives.
We don't believe in ourselves, our capabilities, our wisdom, or our hearts. We don't believe our unique make-up is inherently valuable and worthy unconditionally.
We are all trained to look outside instead of internally; instead of anchoring in our own power.
Our shadows around power aren't easy to see, as they live deep in unconscious layers, formed in our familial and social conditioning.
One of the first places to see these shadows - is to be aware of your body, your sensations, & your energy.
You can feel when you are stepping out of your power. It may feel gross or icky. There may be a collapsing or "black hole" sensation, a sharp pain, a digestive upset. You may feel weak in your core, feel "mushy" with no boundaries, or like you are being walked all over.
☄️ This is exactly where the transformation happens. The power of reclaiming your power in these moments is MASSIVE!
☄️ Here, you are breaking the spell. You are stopping the sabotage. You are ending patterns that collectively haunt and destroy our world. You are claiming your power as the creator of your life.
This work is foundational in 𝗔𝗹𝘁𝗮𝗿𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝗪𝗶𝘀𝗱𝗼𝗺. In this 10-week journey for women, that begins next week, we take stock of:
🐍 Where do we shy away, deny or give our power away?
🐍 Where do we use our energies to manipulate others?
🐍 What does power even mean to us, in a world where distortions are the norm?
🐍 What is healthy and aligned power, even when we don't see it often in those around us?
In 𝗔𝗹𝘁𝗮𝗿𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝗪𝗶𝘀𝗱𝗼𝗺, we work with plant medicines, energetic practices, and ritual to shift these old patterns.
☄️ To retrain our energies to know what true power feels like.
☄️ To reclaim our own power in a healthy way.
☄️ To disrupt the status quo.
If you are interested to join us on this potent journey, send me a message. We have a few spaces left and we begin August 4!
Here's to all of us finding our aligned power. The world needs it!
The simple things that 𝒇𝒆𝒆𝒅 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝒏𝒐𝒖𝒓𝒊𝒔𝒉 𝒖𝒔.
Stopping to smell and 𝒇𝒆𝒆𝒍 the roses.
Sitting down with a cup of tea and a good book.
A walk in the forest with my dog.
Listening to a thunderstorm.
Watching the sunset.
Talking to an old friend who lives on the other side of the world.
Soaking in a hot flower bath.
Singing along to my favorite songs.
Offering gratitude & prayer for all the things in life that make it all worth it.
Each day, we can get lost in busy-ness, doing the things we should do in order to fit in, or be successful. But when we can set down the worries of the day, of the world, just even for a moment or two - to receive, to be in pleasure - that is 𝒕𝒓𝒖𝒆 𝒎𝒆𝒅𝒊𝒄𝒊𝒏𝒆 𝒇𝒐𝒓 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒉𝒆𝒂𝒓𝒕.
Our beloved rose, is a plant teacher that guides us to open to allow, receive and drink in the simple pleasures and little joys of being alive. She brings us into the present moment. She shows us where we aren't allowing our hearts, bodies and energies to be nourished; and also where we are drinking in energies and situations that aren't nourishing us. She teaches a level of discernment and alignment, that is powerful and clear.
Rose also channels a deep ancient spiritual wisdom - one that's been guiding people all over the world for millennia. One of her superpowers is guiding us through 𝒓𝒆𝒄𝒍𝒂𝒎𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏 𝒐𝒇 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒑𝒐𝒘𝒆𝒓 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝒘𝒊𝒔𝒅𝒐𝒎 𝒐𝒇 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒇𝒆𝒎𝒊𝒏𝒊𝒏𝒆. The feminine mystery that we've lost touch with, individually and collectively all over the world.
Rose is one of the 4 𝑨𝒏𝒄𝒊𝒆𝒏𝒕 𝑭𝒆𝒎𝒊𝒏𝒊𝒏𝒆 𝑻𝒆𝒂𝒄𝒉𝒆𝒓 𝑷𝒍𝒂𝒏𝒕𝒔 that we commune with in our upcoming 𝑨𝒍𝒕𝒂𝒓𝒔 𝒐𝒇 𝑾𝒊𝒔𝒅𝒐𝒎. We will look to her wisdom to learn how to nourish ourselves, to be discerning of what we allow in, and to truly channel her essence through us in our own unique ways.
We start our journey next week! Reach out if you want to join us!
I went straight up the mountain yesterday.
I hesitated going, as these mountains are steep and high and I was feeling a little worn out already. In addition, these mountains always seem to push me through a transformation.
But slowing down to listen to the tired places within me, there was another voice that wasn't so tired after all. "You got this; steady, committed and pace yourself, don't overdo it."
As I immersed myself climbing straight up through the trees, not being able to see much more than 15 feet up, clarity started pouring in. My inner world of indecision and uncertainty disappeared. In came inspiration, aliveness, and enjoyment of the steady, committed path.
My heart lit up, as I reconnected to what truly nourishes my soul. I became alive as Mother Earth welcomed me. The elements reminded me of who I am, and I felt the guidance of all my beloved plant teachers - in their purity, their beauty, their love and their profound wisdom.
I welcomed the joy that flows through every ounce of my being that I get to be supported by nature and these plant teachers, each and every day.
And the amplification when I get to introduce others to the incredible healing power of the plants, and they get to find their own intimate connection.
The moment when someone truly meets Mother Earth, especially in the form of her plant beings (because these can get in there really deep!) - there's a recognition, a coming home, a powerful release.
Mother Earth, her elements and her plants guide us to the exact places we've been unable to access- the places where we have been denying ourselves, tied, bound and stuck. And we can then reclaim our own truth, our hearts, our love, and our joy.
That is what we all want. That's what this world needs. Us in our deepest truth, us in our hearts, us in what lights us up.
What an incredible gift that the plants and the Earth can help us find our own magic within.
May we all fine ourselves in the magic on the mountain!
🔥 This has been my altar, my sacred space, for many many nights. The sounds of the jungle, the burning flame, the plant teachers and myself. Listening, learning, unveiling, surrendering, & praying.
🔥 Cultivating an altar space is powerful and intimate. It doesn't have to be elaborate, with all the right things. It can be simple and natural. It could be a rock, or a tree you stumble upon in the forest one day. A flower in your garden. A keepsake from someone else, a picture, a vase, a candle. The form doesn't matter. What it is all about is you being able to drop deeply into yourself and into spirit. To clear out, to let go and to open and receive.
🔥 The practice of cultivating sacred space, you carry with you always. Where ever you find yourself, you have the ability to drop into your intimate sacred space, reconnect with yourself, and be supported and guided.
🔥 We will be cultivating our altars, building relationship with the divine and with plant teachers in a 10-week ceremonial journey for women that beings July 28. 𝗔𝗹𝘁𝗮𝗿𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝗪𝗶𝘀𝗱𝗼𝗺 is a medicine wheel to bring forth the sacred feminine from deep within. You will strengthen your connection to your sacred space through ritual, embodiment, practices and plants. In the sacred space, you will learn to channel the sacred feminine that is moving through you, so that she can guide and teach you into your most incredible self!
🔥 𝗘𝗮𝗿𝗹𝘆 𝗕𝗶𝗿𝗱 𝗿𝗲𝗴𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗔𝗹𝘁𝗮𝗿𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝗪𝗶𝘀𝗱𝗼𝗺 𝗲𝗻𝗱𝘀 𝗧𝗢𝗠𝗢𝗥𝗥𝗢𝗪, 𝗧𝗵𝘂𝗿𝘀𝗱𝗮𝘆, 𝗝𝘂𝗹𝘆 𝟭𝟰.
🔥 To learn more, we will have a 𝗙𝗥𝗘𝗘 𝗖𝗟𝗔𝗦𝗦 on Monday, July 18, talking about how to use the Altars of Wisdom in your sacred space.
